The image of rising bubbles in The Eolian Harp reminds me of the image of the fountain in Kubla Khan. Perhaps it is a reference to the release of the conscience or the sudden emergence of the subconscious as the predominant state in which Coleridge receives his inspiration, and thus, writes his poetry.
