<s:name>Bright Eyes</s:name>
<s:content>Are we all supposed to create a link on something in our bio? Ok...Bright Eyes is the pseudoname of singer/songwriter Connor Oberst from Omaha, Nebraska. He started recording at age 13 and just released two albums last Tuesday (he's 24 now). He basically came from nowhere, and is currently in the spotlight, featured in the arts and leisure section of the NYT two weeks ago. Connor is basically THE greatest musician of all time...his words have such a purity and raw beauty unlike anything else...It's basically a lot of autobiographical stuff, like references to babies drowning in bathtubs (his brother died that way) and drinking, and suicidal thoughts...kind of depressing, but in a way so REAL and uplifting...You should start out with {link:Lifted|http://www.bullmoose.com} and then move on to Fevers and Mirrors (my personal favorite) and then, if you're into it, get Letting off the Happiness (he recorded it at age 17). "Time, it's not poison, but if you drink it all, you die." </s:content>
