Bellingham is about an hour and a half north of Seattle and 20 miles from the Canadian border. It is located directly on the water and is surrounded by mountains. It is known as the "City of Subdued Excitement" and is becoming quite popular with aging Seattle and Californian hippy/yuppies. It does not rain nearly as much as its reputation would claim. It is also the home of
Western Washington University, alma mater to both of my parents. I also took a couple quarters of classes there while on break from Bowdoin.
I wrote a long and involved introduction for these photos and it was sadly erased. I do not feel like writing another so here are three pictures from my favorite bench at Marine Park in B'ham. My family used to live about a ten minute walk from this park and it was my favorite place to watch the sunset over the water. Simply stunning.
